This yogurt has a creamy texture and is great with smoothies, ingredient for recipes and topped with fresh fruit, a little honey and granola.

Ingredients

  • 8 cups milk

  • 1 cup plain yogurt or 1 packet of yogurt starter

Directions

  • Over medium heat, heat milk until it reaches a temperature of 185 degrees stirring occasionally.
  • Allow the milk to cool to 100 degrees.
  • Whisk in the yogurt or yogurt starter.
  • Using a sous vide, set temperature to 105 degrees and cook in water for 6-8 hours.

Notes

  • The longer you cook the yogurt the more tart it will be, but I find it is more like a Greek yogurt consistency if cooked in water at least 8 hours.
