Great simple dish to make with providing a great punch of flavor!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, shelled and deveined

  • 3-4 Tbsp avocado oil or neutral oil

  • 2 Tbsp butter

  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic

  • 1/4 cup white wine

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

  • chopped parsley for garnish

  • salt and pepper

  • red pepper flakes, optional

Directions

  • Season shrimp with salt. Set aside.
  • Heat sauté pan and then add the 3-4 tbsp avocado or neutral oil. Add shrimp to oil. Cook in batches so as not to overcrowd the skillet. Sear on both sides and remove from pan.
  • Remove remaining oil from pan. Add butter and melt. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Add wine and cook until reduced. Add heavy cream and parmesan cheese and cook to reduce and thicken to desired consistency.
  • Add shrimp back into cream sauce and toss. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and fresh ground pepper and additional parmesan cheese.

Notes

  • I had left over pasta that I reheated and add shrimp and cream sauce to pasta. Could be eaten as is or over rice or pasta.
