Ingredients

  • 4- 6 oz fish fillets ( you can use a flaky or steak fish)

  • 4 Tbsp butter

  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

  • 2 cloves garlic finely chopped

  • 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard

  • 1 1/2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice

  • salt and pepper

  • chopped parsley and sliced lemons for garnish

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 390 degrees.
  • Pat dry fish, skin and bones removed and season with salt and pepper and place in baking dish.
  • In microwaveable bowl place butter, cream, garlic, mustard, lemon juice and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  • Microwave 30 second interval and stir until butter is melted.
  • Pour mustard cream sauce over fish and bake in oven for 10-12 minutes for a flakey fish and 20-30 minutes for a thicker steak fish. (Internal temperature of fish should be 145 degrees.)
  • Plate fish, spoon cream sauce over fish and garnish with parsley and a slice or wedge of lemon.

Notes

  • This is a great quick meal with lots of flavor! I have made it using a drum fish and also cobia and both are wonderful! As mentioned in the recipe, the thicker steak fish will require additional cooking time. I have used the same amount of sauce for 2 servings! I used it to drizzle over our vegetables before serving!
