Candied Pecans

1 lb whole pecan halves
1 egg white
1 Tbsp water
1 cup sugar
1 teasp cinnamon
Directions
- Set oven temperature to 250 degrees. Spray cookie tray with a cooking spray to keep the pecans from sticking to the tray.
- Combine sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Whisk egg white and water until frothy.
- Add pecans to egg white mixture until pecans are coated.
- Add sugar mixture to coated pecans and mix until combined.
- Place pecans onto cookie tray in a single layer.
- Bake for 1 hour, using an egg turner to loosen and turn the mixture.
- Let cool. Store in dry containers.
Notes
- This recipe is used in the pear salad recipe included on the blog. These seem to disappear very quickly when I make them!
