Ingredients

  • 1 lb whole pecan halves

  • 1 egg white

  • 1 Tbsp water

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 teasp cinnamon

Directions

  • Set oven temperature to 250 degrees. Spray cookie tray with a cooking spray to keep the pecans from sticking to the tray.
  • Combine sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  • Whisk egg white and water until frothy.
  • Add pecans to egg white mixture until pecans are coated.
  • Add sugar mixture to coated pecans and mix until combined.
  • Place pecans onto cookie tray in a single layer.
  • Bake for 1 hour, using an egg turner to loosen and turn the mixture.
  • Let cool. Store in dry containers.

Notes

  • This recipe is used in the pear salad recipe included on the blog. These seem to disappear very quickly when I make them!
